Twitter Me This...

In case anyone is interested, I'm on Twitter.
While I do post about illustration-related items, I also include things I find interesting or funny. Also the occasional editorial statement.
Twitter gets its fair share of ribbing for its seeming focus and broadcasting of inconsequential activities, ("Changing my socks now", ""Blinking repeatedly"), I've actually found it to be a great source of contact with other illustrators and as an almost dynamic "link" list. I find some of the most interesting stuff online by clicking on people's tweet links. As a result, a lot of my tweets also tend to be links I found of interest.
I also find that there seems to be a ton of people who's(whose?) sole mission is to collect as many followers as possible. One fellow followed me who was also following nearly 10,000 people. I appreciate being "followed" (wow, say that in any context other than Twitter and it sounds creepy...) but I hate being a notch on someone's Twitter bedpost. How many more times can I use the word "follow" in this post?
Anyway, I actually like Twitter more than Facebook simply because it's streamlined and it does one thing and does it well. No poking(!), no stinkin' badges, no need to tell people what kind of drink you are, no Mafia Wars. Just plain, simple updates. I like it.
