Art Show Entries

I recently participated in 'The Sunshine Show' at Tate's Comics (quite possibly the most amazing comics/toys/book store around!) where the theme surrounded all things Florida. Having just recently moved back to the area, I submitted a piece on a lark. I chose the skunk ape as my subject:

I was unable to attend the show opening, but the following Monday I received a call from Jacob Mcalister who is putting together a show in central Florida called 'Tiki Island'. He had seen my piece and asked if I might be interested in submitting something for his show. I finally came up with this:

Pieces like these give me a chance to experiment with some various ideas I rarely get to try in the course of my regular client work. As a result, I'm thinking of adding a new category to my website for personal work like this so it isn't simply buried in the blog.
