'We are the music makers.'

Watched 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' the other evening. I remember watching it on TV as a kid in the 70's and being mesmerized by the whole thing. And a bit freaked out by the disturbing boat trip. Thought I would do my own version of Wonka.

I've been doing so much digital drawing these last several months that I've neglected my analog skills. Need to get back in the groove again. I just bought a craft paper sketchbook and I'm loving the medium color of the paper, making it easy to add shadows and highlights without much fuss. The hand isn't one of my best.

Hi Gerald! The updated site looks great! I think it's fantastic that you've been doing some analog work too. I've been taking a darkroom class and getting to make physical prints from my negatives (rather than scanning and processing them) is just dreamy! I was home recently and my mom was been making me go through a few boxes of memorabilia from high school and I came across a couple little drawings you had done for me. I think one of the art teachers had loaned you an air brush to try out if memory serves. Anyway, it was fun to see. Mom asked about you and was glad to hear you are still making art! Cheers!

Erin!

I'm almost afraid to ask what that air-brush picture looks like...
