Painting Demo: 'Autumn Reading'

2.5 hours of work condensed to 7 minutes. Please forgive the hideous sky color at the top of the video. You can see the final piece here.

I'm open to suggestions on how to improve the quality of YouTube uploads...

Glad you guys liked it! It was bit of a challenge to get it condensed down but it seems to have worked. Longer pieces will definitely require multi-part videos.

Thanks for sharing. I always love to see other people do their magic. What did you use for the screen recording?

Madking,

I used n app called iShowU HD. Great program that's easy to use and very customizable.

Wow, this is amazing Gerald. I'm still in the learning process of my painting digitally. My recent work on my blog are what I have attempted so far in photoshop. I just love the mood of the environment you create, that's something I still need to figure out. Also, experimenting more with different brush techniques as well. I've mostly been using two variations of brushes to paint my digital illustrations. I also love incorporating different pattern overlays of textures I find online and scan. I think the main thing for me right now, is learning how to capture the mood and depth in my digital illustrations.

Awesome, demo again thanks for sharing.

Gigi,

As soon as some of my deadlines are past em, I'm hoping to post a few tutorials showing some of the things I've discovered that work for me in my drawing. I'm always fascinated with all the various working methods developed by artists. No two are the same.
