Perseus and the Gorgon

This is the second image from the story of Perseus and the Gorgon. This image and the one of the Graeae I decided to treat a bit rougher because the story is more grotesque than others in the collection. Showing Medusa and the Graeae in a polished-off form seemed to rob them of their brutality.

The challenge was how the portray Perseus as invisible without resorting to simply reducing his opacity. I'm fairly pleased with the copper-patina glow.
