31 Days of Pumpkins: Jimmy and Balloon

OK, YES! these are sketches. But I had a chance to finally mess around with Sketchbook Pro and I thought I would post the results. The top one, Jimmy, is using a standard sketch pencil setting and Balloon is using a custom inking brush I created. I really like how SBP handles. AND since these are sketches, you're getting two drawings instead of just one. So there.

31 Days of Pumkins: Pumpkin Trail

A quick logo I did as a favor for an old friend from back home. She saw the pumpkins I've been doing and told me of the Halloween project she was working on so I thought I would help her out. A bit different than what I've ben posting.

31 Days of Pumpkins: Darkseed (sketch)

Unfortunately, due to some unforseen circumstances, todays pumpkin will be restriced to a sketch. Time kinda got the best of me so client and school work is pressing. Hopefully, I will be able to finish this one off soon.

Anyway, for those who like Kirby and the New Gods, this one is for you... I guess in this case, this would be Darkseed of the New Gourds. Yeah, I know... bad pun.

31 Days of Pumpkins: Catch!

The great thing about doing a seires of drawing slike this is it gives me an opportunity to experiment with different ideas before using them in offical client projects. I've ben playing around with using a holding line around the image to give it a bit more separation from the background. This also is a bit less flat than my general style.

Anyway... learning some new things.

31 Days of Pumpkins: Howard

OK. You've probably noticed that this doesn't match the work found throughout my site. I've been working on a new style of illustrating based on my old analog, pen-and-ink-andwatercolor style I worked in many years ago. But this time it's all done in Photoshop. I wanted to see if I could pul this style off on a small piece. It's still a while off before I do any major work in this style but It's definitely nice to do something like this for a change.
