FAQs
Can I get a portrait of multiple mutts in one image for the same fee?
Yes! But I must limit it to a maximum of three dogs in a single image. I will cluster them as a group. But this will result in one or two not being rendered full-body. Space is limited.

Would you consider including my children in the portrait?
I'm limiting these paintings to dogs only. Sorry.

Do you paint cats?
Not at the moment. But that could change. Stay tuned.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Gerald to create a custom portrait of my goofy dog. I really wanted to capture his personality, not just his looks and Gerald did his hilarious personality perfect justice. It’s exactly what I wanted.

Gerald Kelly is a master of pen and ink. Not only has he deftly recreated my (handsome) visage, he truly captured my quizzical nature and zest for life. Any fellow canine lucky enough to be portraitized by Mr. Kelly is lucky enough. Full stop. Run, don’t walk to your laptops, and email the man your requests! (Opposable thumbs not required.)

I’ve long admired Gerald Kelley’s professional work. Was thrilled to find out I could now have him do a personal portrait of my boy “Charlie. Love it!

The ability to so wonderfully capture personality and charm in character art is not easy…except for Gerald, of course. I’ve been a super-fan since we worked on our first project together (a book about dogs coincidentally). I was so thrilled to see these canine portraits happening! My little Edith and I agree…his portrait of her is perfect!

The best part of having a dog is the joy, love and happiness they bring to your life. The best part of Gerald’s art is having those feelings captured in print.

I sent Gerald pictures and stories about their personalities. He took all of it and created the most wonderful illustration. It is like they could jump off the page and their personalities come through as well. You can’t help but smile when you look at it - it just makes you happy. My son is going to be thrilled and I am going to be double heartbroken - with him leaving for college AND with the illustration going with him!
